Floating in Space

Floating in Space

I often wonder what it would be like to be weightless in space.  No up, down, left or right.  Just my body in space.  Looking out of the cupola, pondering the mysteries of the universe as I look upon the great blue sphere that is our home.  Thinking about life in other solar systems, galaxies, and the vast beyond.  Reflecting upon the infinitesimal protozoan and all of it's homo sapien analogous organs.  Space truly is the final frontier.

I want to go to space.  Perhaps in that vacuum, I would not be too judgmental in when thinking about my weight.

Drabble- n. a story told in exactly 100 words.

Do you want to go to space and travel in the great beyond?

I like your drabble, Shaz. It has a weightless quality. ;)

  2. @ Suze- Yeah, I figured I would make the background a bit more romantic for February. I'll probably change the background every month depending on my mood. :)

Thanks Suze! I love the nick name you gave me! :D

  3. I'd totally be pushing myself so I could bounce surface to surface to surface. And summersaulting... lots of summersaulting. teehee

  4. Yeah, Tami, I could see you doing all types of cartwheels and backflips! I'm not adventurous but I would probably spin in a weightless circle. :D

  5. Gee, without the drag of gravity, do ya think my boobs would look perky again? HA!

Unfortunately, I think if we were to blast off into space, our would hitch a ride with us, darn it.

  6. All I remember from school is fat face and chicken legs. In the absence of gravity, it all floats up, so your legs get really skinny, and your face gets all swollen. In other words, it probably wouldn't fix issues of low self-esteem over appearance. BUT it would be delightful to be weightless and bouncing around for a bit!

  7. I may write about it, just not sure I'd want to do it. And the Vomit Comet is out, because I would do just that.

  8. @Shannon - Yes, it would be quite delightful to bounce around and spin! :D

@ Alex- Can't wait to read your Vomit Comet for the A-Z Challenge! :D

  9. @ Susan- You know I didn't think about what my boobs would be doing in space. Hmmm, and I am at an age now where this would be an issue.

    I love your comment!

  10. Mixed thoughts on this one. Half of me would love to, while the other half would prefer to stay grounded. Of course, I can always go there in my mind...
