Caught in the Act

“Did you hear something?”

“No, you’re just being paranoid.”

“Seriously, I hear footsteps.”

“No one’s here. Hurry up. Get the money cart.”

“Wait, I hear them too. What do we do?”

“Quick, behind the door.”

“No, no.  Let’s get in the closet.”

“They always look in the closet.”

“Okay, behind the desk.”

“Don’t be stupid.  They’ll see our feet.”

“Come on.  Behind the door.  No one looks there.”

“I knew this was a bad idea.  All of you always get me in trouble.”

“You wanted the money just as bad.  Get behind the door.”

Footsteps.  Door opens.  Flashlight.

“Anybody here?”

  3. Yvonne- if you could create a poem in exactly 100 words, that counts as a drabble.

  4. Jemi, thanks. They looked like little kids trying to steal some cash from their mom. This is the reason for the childish tone of voice from each of the bandits.
